I bought my set in Dec 2005 and have been using them nearly daily for 2 years. I use them for many kitchen utility tasks like deboning, vegetable slicing, opening up UPS packages, etc. I don't rotate my knives, so there are 3 or 4 knives I have used the majority of the time during these 2 years.I also don't abuse my knives like cutting wire, sheetrock or wood. So they have stayed sharp without any noticeable degradation of sharpness. Handles are a plastic that is very rugged.Two years of dishwasher cleaning has not affected the plastic at all, no dulling, white hazing nor cracking. Still looks the same when I first opened the box.
At these prices ($6/set or less)don't even think twice. Pick up a set or two for the kitchen, tool box, fishing tackle box, etc.Great bargain and great value.
